From its beginnings in 1998 as an intimate reception for a small number of stars, the GQ Men Of The Year awards - this year once again proudly sponsored by Alfred Dunhill - has evolved into one of the UK's most significant award ceremonies, recognising the UK's most talented men, and one woman.

 There is simply no other event that attracts quite so many of the very great and the very glamorous. A-list actors clink champagne flutes with the country's top politicians, pop icons compare the cut of their cuffs with Hollywood directors, while top-flight fashion designers mingle with rock gods – and to top it all off the evening helps to raise funds for ‘Help for Heroes’ Charity.
