Nominations for the 2011 American Music Awards will be presented in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin, Contemporary Inspirational and Soundtracks.  With British singer/songwriter Adele set to sweep up, other nominees such as Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Rhianna and Nicki Minaj will following closely behind her.
