The Respect Summer Ball
The Irish came out in force on Thursday 16 June to support Respect, the Irish Charity that looks after people with intellectual disabilities. Leading Irish business figures enjoyed a full evening at Battersea Power Station. Guests were welcomed to a champagne, Oyster and canapé reception with an Irish Traditional band.
The venue came alive with flower arrangements by Wild at Heart and lighting design by Raoul Simpson. Richard Corrigan designed the dinner menu which Urban Caprice executed. He was on hand shucking Oysters at the reception with Tim Hughes from Scotts. Dinner included smoked Salmon and Irish Lamb. Andrea Corr who has recently launched her second solo album had everyone on the dance floor with a live performance. Guests continued dancing to DJ Philly and Sam Young with Bongo player Tello adding to the entertainment. Patrick Kielty compared the evening with his usual fresh wit and Niall Gunne, auctioneer did a spectacular job with the auction.
